("AS" does not mean God will destroy for we are doing it to ourselves by own bad acts as humanity. And some of these wrong choices occurred centuries ago that got us where we are now as nothing done to make it better for all. This is not saying it will happen, but a warning that it will if we continue on our ill-fated wrong paths to a bad end.. Jerusalem and Israel is surrounded by a winding entity that can give a deadly sting and what are we dong to neutralize that bad and turn it into the winding monster being that can become a world of happiness that surrounds with full hearts of JOY instead.. I take the Bible very literally , every word as its one book that summarizes all of human history into the future paths we are going down for good or evil. and warning us to change our ways or it will happen.
I do not ask IF THE BIBLE IS TRUE BUT HOW ITS TRUE and there are mysteries of all that we do not understand yet. and its says in Isaiah we had a 'veil' put over our knowing all as we could not be trusted with it after the FALL OF ADAM AND EVE WHEN THEY GOT IT. and let SATAN TRICK THEM INTO THE WRONG AND DEADLY PATH OF DESTRUCTION WHEN THE END TIMES BEGAN AT THE BEGINNING THEN..
