My Comments - The Washington Post see my newest comment on the US POST Office getting into the grocery delivery business and my pleas for all to buy what groceries one can online to encourage this service to occur across the board. So far, walmart.com is only offering some 'specials'. But last month non perishable groceries from them came to our home with free shipping as the total order was over $50.
These are the ways w help reduce overall health care costs on the USA.
I've been suggesting to Walmart and others for some time to allow one to order groceries online and someone else can pick them up as can be done with non food items from them. One could actually see more of what is in a store online then going down an aisle and missing so much to be seen,. Instead of 'grocery sellers; being paid for one company or another to put their items at eye level, they might sell ads alongside the inventory to purchase their product online.
LIVING UNDER THE FIRST AMENDMENT,
A terrible tragedy occurred this week in OKC. The media is reporting that a new convert to a faith got fired for trying to convert others to his new faith while on the job. He got fired and retaliated and deaths occurred.
The First AMENDMENT to the US constitution gives us freedom of speech and freedom of religion. Its a two in one.
I have witnessed a kind of euphoric happiness when one gets 'saved' and it should be a happy time of rebirth and renewal, BUT YAHUSHA WHOM WE CHRISTIANS CALL CHRIST JESUS speaks to what occurs in a parable often called the parable of the 'white washed tombs" where one is spiritually cleaned and open to good or bad to enter in.
When we are 'born again' we are like babies with a 'clean slate' ..
The 'Devil' is not happy, if ones faith wants to call it that. He is losing a soul to the good guy OUR DIVINE CREATOR who created and loves us. And he is going to use any means to control and obstruct the good that comes. when we turn to HIM.
Those already in faith communities need to be helpful for new converts to not let temptations to do wrong things over take this 'new soul'.
We are in a culture where numbers in the building is too often equated with salvation. The temptation to go into places one should not say or do some things is there.
Places of work in the USA is a place where those of all faiths and no faith come and is not the place to bring the temptation of fervor of ones faith by voice to as apparently occurred here. Its not the first time one has been fired for over zealousness, Respect for others rights ad the right of the employer to expect employees to give fair work for fair pay is expected and is a better way to express ones faith. That does not mean one has to completely strip ones self of ones right of faith in the work site, but fairness and respect for others needs to be present.
That does not mean one cannot let it be known they have a faith, or ask others to socialize after work and then approach the issues of faith and give an invitation . But respect for each other is in our governing document and any one can say no to an invitation.
Horrors have been done over the centuries by various faiths including Christians of forced faith and its nor a true conversion of the soul at all. WE ARE CREATED WITH FREE WILL AND WE EACH HAVE TO RESPECT THAT AS THE DEVIL DOES NOT.
If the media is correct on this, he was not the first to be fired for evangelizing on the job with fervent an unacceptable verbalization. FAITH COMMUNITIES NEED TO HELP ON THIS as there is a fine line of what is acceptable and what is not..
One might unobtrusively let it be known by a flyer one has with their personal belongings that there is a special event at ones place of faith, but one can not go around the office or work site passing out flyers on every desk or on every car in the companies parking lot. One is usually permitted to have something readily visible on or in their car.
MORE IMPORTANT IS THAT BY OUR ACTIONS WE DEMONSTRATE OUR FAITH.
There is a song: THEY WILL KNOW WE ARE CHRISTIANS BY OUR LOVE.
The best way to evangelize is for others to know WE CARE AS OUR SAVIOUR CARES FOR EACH AND EVERY ONE AND THE COURAGE TO STAND UP AGAINST WRONGS DONE AGAINST EACH AND EVERY ONE THROUGH THE METHODS WE LEGALLY HAVE UNDER OUR US CONSTITUTION.
What ever faith one night have, there is a common wisdom of when one is made new from the past . And the Spirit of renewal is in us. We are then often open to temptations like never before as we learn new ways of living. I do personally believe in the Holy Spirit as a part of our Divine Creator and how some theories that it may be more than just spiritual. That the spiritual may indeed 'trigger' a sub energy type that has manifested itself at times in healing and other miracles. MY PERSONAL OPINION THAT NO ONE IS FORCED TO ACCEPT IN THE USA
A 'power' given to the apostles by Christ and something we humans can not be trusted with as long as we use knowledge for destructive purposes. So far, we don't seem to be ready to handle it yet amass. The Apostle John writes in his gospel that is said to be written later than the other three and is filled with much more of theological understandings than the others which were written for more biographical purposes etc..
John says: GOD IS LOVE. is how its translated in the English for Yahuah, and others use others names etc.. Pretty profound statement. Very simple. Christ teaches that there is a "three in one' in speaking of Christ. After 2000 years, books and papers and this online blog is still pondering the full meaning of what three words mean.
ITS WHY WE CALL IT 'FAITH.' THERE ARE SOME THINGS WE HUMANS HAVE NOT COMPLETELY FIGURED OUT YET AND CERTAINLY HAVE NOT REACHED FULL AGREEMENT ON IN MATTERS OF FAITH,.
To be 'BORN AGAIN' IS TO HAVE FREEDOM OF THE SOUL AND WE ARE TO GO OUT AND SHARE THAT WITH OTHERS.
Proverbs in the Old Testament teachings of the Bible says there is a time and a place for everything. We Christians and others can demonstrate ones faith by who they are and not put ourselves and our employers and our co workers in a situation that is not legal under the US Constitution or have to cause restrictive rules to be put in place. If one goes a little over board, we can ignore them and nothing more should have to be done and every ones rights preserves without more rules restricting all of us.
Try to be a person by ones presence that others will approach you after work at the proper time and place and want to know what faith you have that ,makes you care, and they want that inner joy and freedom that your faith demonstrates without saying one verbal word of time and place of a worship service, etc. We are not perfect as the bad guy and his dominions and temptations bombards us daily with the trials and tribulations of a world at war of good against evil and its not easy at times to figure out which side is which in some human wars our world leaders get us into.. We do our best as happiness and freedom instill us when LOVE is the motivator and not hatred.
My Dad, Rev Tracy Hardy (name he went by) was not a perfect man, as none of us humans are not. He did have some profound wisdom to share. One was when reading the Bible, read the RED LETTERS first. For us raised in the Christian faith, we are aware that there are Bibles which put the quotes from Christ, our Savior, in red letters. One can easily find one.. And when one reads these first one has the foundation of HIS TEACHINGS. All else is history and interpretations. Granted by those respected through the ages and often eyewitnesses to events and why the other writings are there, too and of great value to the faith. and why that history and all of our religious history not being taught to generations since 1963 is an ignorance we are being forced to live with as too often few understand why one group doesn't like another and why wars have gone on and even why there are some now. And few faiths have not gone radical in preaching and forced conversions and why the US CONSTITUTION'S FIRST AMENDMENTS IS SO VITAL TO BE FULLY UNDERSTOOD AS TO WHY IT IS THERE AND THE FIRST ONE THAT ADDRESSES HUMAN RIGHTS. Its two fold and the two parts are interconnected and our founders understood historically why and thought it the best way for our nation to have in our basic governing document.
My prayers for all those who lost loved ones this week in OKC. Pray that new converts of any faith do not let temptations of the 'evil one' over come in the fervor of happiness.
