                                PROPHETIC SCRIPTURES

Today the Bible opened to Numbers Chapter 15. This is my own personal interpretation of much of the Mosaic law. Its much like the US Constitution where we have a system of courts to rule on matters of disagreement whether civil or criminal and then there are appeals. If one still is not satisfied with the rulings. We have 9 who sit on that high court. But in the time of Moses, there was one: Moses who asked for answers from the Deity.
The New Covenant under Christ does give new interpretations to the law. It does not change it, but it clarifies it. Much as we have rulings over the years that are different as we have new understandings and meanings. So the decisions are for the time and place and some of these change through the years of history as humanity matures and learns things, while others remain very much the same as we still can't let one party hurt another party without consequences. Moses couldn't build jails and prisons. We can today to house those who won't stop hurting others. in their person or property, etc
Christ calls himself the Counselor , the advocate and he brings  new understandings.
Those of other faith well may not agree with me and its why I link to another's interpretation each day. But its my only way of reconciling a loving and merciful God to such things as going out and stoning someone who has done awful things. To us gathierng sticks for a fire, doesn't seem, bad, but in the time and place out in the wilderness somehow it was very serous business and this s one place we don;t have the ' full transcript of the proceedings.." One of the most awful was and still is turning against our Creator. And we don't seem to always have learned our lesson on this as when we do, we fill our hearts and souls with  hatred and seeds of destruction and bad things  can and do happen. when one or an increasing number keep doing the same things that destroy individuals souls and society as a whole.
Non Christians are welcome to ponder the wisdom of the words. The following phrases had special meaning for me for the day and events of the times.
